New and Pre-Owned Sales Consultant
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Description:
 Sales Consultant is directly responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles. The position includes but is not limited to: personal work ethic, business development, selling vehicles and following up to the sale.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Customer satisfaction Presenting vehicles to customer, reviewing the operation
- Vehicle test drives (going with your customer)
- Ensuring the customer experiences a smooth and satisfying experience during the delivery
- process. (operation of vehicle, warranty, Onstar)
- Utilizing and maintaining the CRM system- maintaining tasks and follow up… before, during and after the sale
- Texting and calling customers through the CRM system only
- Knowing what is in inventory- new and pre-owned vehicles
- Understanding and knowledge of technology in vehicles
- Maintaining dealership & GM training standards quarterly/yearly
- Establishing individual goals, monthly and yearly- unit based and income based.
- Overcoming customer objections
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales
- Introduce customers to our service department at delivery
- Checking in new and pre-owned inventory-Lot maintenance and organization
- Keeping all customer information secured in your locked desk
- Color Copy of DL- front and back
- Review the features and benefits of the customers vehicle
- Sales consultant to accompany customer on test drive
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to read, comprehend and process instruction and information
- Excellent communication skills
- Present yourself in professional appearance with neat and clean hygiene
- Ability to sell a minimum quota of vehicles per month
Must be able to move throughout the dealership. Spending time outside presenting vehicles to customers. Flexibility with holiday, night and weekend schedules.
